Linen Bedspreads
Buy a linen bedspread once — and use it everywhere: as a bed cover in the bedroom, a sofa throw in the living room, a picnic blanket in the garden. Linen can take it all without losing its beauty. In our range you will find pure linen bedspreads, linen-wool and linen-cotton blends from Geniksa and Libeco — from 135x200 to 320x260 cm.

Not every linen bedspread is the same. The choice of material determines the feel, warmth and purpose:
Pure linen: Light, cool, textured. The classic choice for summer and for anyone who loves the typical linen character — slightly creased, lively, casual. Geniksa offers the largest selection in pure linen, with series such as Heron, Caroline, Jungle and Scotia in 12 sizes each.
Linen-wool blend: Warmer and heavier than pure linen. The wool provides insulation, the linen ensures breathability — this combination works from autumn to spring. Libeco carries a broad range of linen-wool bedspreads, including herringbone patterns and striped variants.
Linen-cotton blend: Softer than pure linen, less prone to creasing. Ideal as an all-year sofa throw or as a light bed cover when the full linen feel seems too firm.
The bedspread should overhang on three sides — left, right and at the foot end. At the head end, it sits under the pillows. Here are the matching sizes:
For a 90 cm single bed: bedspread 180x260 cm — overhangs 45 cm on each side and 60 cm at the foot. Matching linen bed linen 135x200 or 155x220.
For a 140 cm double bed: bedspread 230x260 cm. Matching linen bed linen 200x200.
For a 160 cm double bed: bedspread 260x260 cm. Matching linen bed linen 200x220.
For a 180 cm king size bed: bedspread 280x260 cm or larger. Matching linen bed linen 220x240.
If you only want the bedspread draped over the duvet — without side overhang — choose one size smaller.

Durable
Linen bedding can be washed at low temperatures and becomes softer with each wash.
Breathable
Linen bedding keeps you pleasantly cool in summer and cozy warm in winter. Bedding for all seasons.
As a bed cover: The classic use. A linen bedspread in a natural tone or contrast colour over the linen bed linen transforms an unmade bed into a tidy focal point in seconds.
As a sofa throw: Casually draped over the armrest or as a cover on cool evenings. For sofa use, the linen-wool blend works best — warmer than pure linen and heavy enough not to slip.
As a travel blanket: Linen is light, folds compactly and dries quickly. On the plane, on the train or as a beach mat.
In the garden: As a picnic blanket or play mat for children. Linen is naturally dirt-repellent and easy to wash — the robust fibre can handle it.
Care by material: Pure linen bedspreads at 40 °C, air dry. Linen-wool blend at max 30 °C gentle cycle or hand wash. Linen-cotton blend at 40 °C. No fabric softener, no bleach. Full care tips at Care & Durability.
A bedspread is the most visible piece on the bed — it should match bed linen and pillowcases. Geniksa and Libeco offer bedspreads in the same colour families as their bedding ranges. A linen fitted sheet as a base completes the ensemble.
